Ducts are in focus for this high-capacity production facility in Neulengbach, Austria. The plant delivers to customers all across central Europe. 

What we produce

Ducts and Duct Assemblies

Acting as protecting pipes for fiber optic cables, ducts are a key component in the Hexatronic end-to-end fiber solution. They come in a wide variety based on the installation environment, for example, underground, aerial, or indoor. They are also designed in different sizes for different applications and different colors to match customer requirements or simply tell the different ducts in a bundle apart. Our plant in Austria is also flexible, to produce to customer needs all around the world – in accordance with given standards.

Innovative mindset

How can we run the plant to increase efficiency and reduce costs? Our employees are taking initiatives to answer this question every single day by coming up with innovative ideas and being flexible in trying new things. Using alternative materials in production to decrease the carbon footprint is one idea currently under evaluation.

Sustainability focus

It is important to us that the products we make have an as low impact on the environment as possible. Therefore, we have plenty of sustainability projects running. For example, to boost circularity and increase drum returns from our customers we donate to UNICEF based on the number of drums returned. We also reuse the heat from the extrusion process to warm up the building.

Testing, testing!

We perform extensive quality control to ensure our customers get the high-quality products they expect from us. For example, we blow small balls through each duct to ensure functionality, and for our new lines, we invested in X-ray machines to measure the inner and outer diameters to achieve nearly 100% production control. Of course, we are ISO certified 9001, 14 001, and 50 001. 

The strength of our Austrian factory is our colleagues. The mindset and motivation to generate new ideas and do your best – every single day – is incredible!

Rooftop solar panels help fuel production

Every step matters on our path toward carbon-neutral operations. Therefore, we're thrilled to announce the installation of 852 solar panels on the rooftops of our Neulengbach production facility! These panels will help power our duct production, reduce scope 2 emissions, lower costs, and enhance energy independence. Learn more about the project from Plant Manager Thomas Erb.

Producing ducts since 1961

The facility in Neulengbach has a long heritage of producing pipes and ducts dating all the way back to 1961. In 2020, the previous owner, REHAU, planned to close down the plant, before Hexatronic decided to acquire it in 2021.  During this hard time, the employees grew strong together, creating a team with a family spirit, where you can always lean on each other. This high level of trust amongst the employees creates a foundation for sharing ideas and future innovation.
