The products are made in the USA in compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), and Blue Diamond Industries is listed on the BABA Self-Certification List for the BEAD program.
BDI manufactures various microduct sizes (7-22 mm) and configurations. The microducts are perfect for 1G+ broadband and microfiber cables as they facilitate direct connections from node to the customer without splicing and provide empty ducts for future expansions—all within the same trench. You can choose between single and multi-tube combinations, with regular and heavy wall oversheath options. Features include ribbed inside walls, multiple color choices, and the permanent SuperGlide® interior.
BDI utilizes as much regrind as possible in its production. Instead of letting samples and leftovers from the production go to waste, they are grinded. The regrind can then be mixed with virgin resin to create new products. All BDI facilities have invested in regrind capabilities. In Aubury, Texas, the team is also trying out a pelletizer, turning regrind into pellets so that it can mix even better with virgin material for new products.
BDI's quality control is built into the products. Quality is verified at every stage of the process, from resin tests in the quality labs to controlling the temperature of the cooling baths. Printing and saving a sample from each batch ensures easy backtracing. For each product shipped from the BDI facilities, the lab tests pull, crash, wall thickness, and shape.
