Hexatronic becomes partner to öGIG for FTTH network rollout in Austria

Nov 27, 2024

Hexatronic has signed a framework agreement with, AVDM, Audio Video Data Management, as a distribution partner and its customer öGIG, Austrian Fiber Optic Infrastructure Company, for microducts manufactured at its facility in Neulengbach, Austria. The agreement also includes fiber optic cables.

"We welcome öGIG's decision to choose local suppliers for the FTTH rollout in Austria. Short delivery routes, supply chain transparency, and ISO-certified production, together with price and performance, make our offer very competitive”, said Christian Koller, Sales Manager Austria and Switzerland, Hexatronic Österreich GmbH.

For 2025, an order volume has been set for the products and services that Hexatronic will deliver to öGIG – the largest constructor of open fiber optic networks in Austria. AVDM acts as an important hub between öGIG as the client and Hexatronic as the manufacturer.

Founded in 2019, the Austrian Fiber Optic Infrastructure Company (öGIG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Allianz Insurance Group. öGIG plans, builds, and finances FTTH networks throughout Austria under the brand öFIBER.
