Installation instructions for termination of 24f Stingray
Introduction
The design of the Stingray blown fiber units encapsulates the fibers inside an acrylate matrix. That way the unit becomes very strong compared to its size. However, if the units contain a lot of fibers, i.e. 24f units, it becomes more sensitive to kinking when bent.
Therefore, a bend protection shall be used for coiling and bending these units during termination.
