Description

The underwater micro-duct is a single armored duct for shallow submarine installations. It is designed to be used with Hexatronic micro-cables and can easily be connected to land based micro-ducts with micro-duct connectors or adapters. The micro-duct is suitable for lakes and river crossings in all types of fibre access networks.

This underwater micro-duct is based on a 12/10 mm PE micro-duct protected by an aluminum foil and a polyethylene sheath. Outside the sheath there is a layer of galvanised steel wires covered with a heavy-duty layer of HDPE polymer.

The steel wire reinforcement provides reliable mechanical protection, enabling installation and operation during rough conditions.
